After last year’s unfortunate pandemic-related cancelation – our first in over 40 years – we are very happy to announce that the Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher Kid’s Fishing Derby is back!
Join us the morning of April 24th from 9am-12pm at the Sportsmen’s Club pond.
Kids 14 and under may fish the derby, and there will be prizes! Poles and bait are provided (NO reels for the duration of the derby), and you are encouraged to bring your own worms as well to use as bait and/or share with others. We will be following COVID safety protocols, so PLEASE MASK UP, prepare to fish in special family fishing zones, and give your neighbors plenty of room. Access will be controlled, so please be patient. We know everyone wants to fish, but we also want it to be done safely! Check back for updates on this page, and we’ll see you on opening day at the pond!
